Rust's F1 console isn't only for admins. A handful of commands work for every player on any server, and they answer the questions everyone asks after a fight or a laggy evening. Press F1, type the command and hit Enter.
combatlog
Shows your recent damage: what you hit, what hit you, and the details of each exchange. It's the quickest way to check whether you really landed those shots or got killed from somewhere you didn't expect. (Admins can add a Steam64ID to see another player's log; for your own log you don't need any rights.)
perf 0 to perf 6
Puts performance stats in the bottom-left corner:
perf 1 FPS
perf 2 adds frame latency
perf 3 adds RAM usage
perf 4 adds ping
perf 5 and perf 6 add more technical data (invokes and tasks)
perf 0 turns it all off again
perf 4 is a good everyday choice: FPS, frame latency, RAM and ping without clutter.
ping
Prints your latency to the server, useful when you're not sure if the lag is you or the server.
fps.limit
Caps your frame rate, for example fps.limit 144 to match a 144 Hz monitor and keep your GPU cooler.
find
Can't remember a command? find fov or find graphics lists every matching command and variable with a short description.
console.copy and console.clear
console.copy copies the whole console to your clipboard (handy for reporting a bug or a suspicious death to staff), and console.clear wipes it.
kill
Kills your character and takes you to the respawn screen, the same as Suicide in the Esc menu. Useful when you're stuck in rocks.
benchmark
Runs a performance benchmark so you can see how well your PC handles the game after a driver or settings change.
