PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS had scheduled maintenance this morning, Wednesday 28 October. The anti-cheat team also posted its weekly ban numbers.
What today's maintenance fixed
According to PUBG's official notices, the maintenance was planned for about 4 hours (09:00–13:00 Korean time, which is midnight to 04:00 UK time). Along with the usual stability work, it fixed two inventory bugs that many of us have run into:
- When you dragged an item in the inventory, the list of items in the Nearby tab didn't update in real time.
- Dragging items in the inventory sometimes picked them up late or picked up a different item than the one you wanted.
If you've lost a fight because you grabbed the wrong scope or a 5.56 stack instead of 7.62, this one is for you.
Weekly bans: 19–25 October
PUBG's official weekly bans notice for 19–25 October lists 30,937 banned accounts:
- Cheating: 16,268
- Abusing: 6,078
- Teaming: 4,876
- Team killing: 3,715
They also banned 15,727 devices, which affected 39,115 accounts.
As usual, PUBG asks players to report cheaters through the in-game report first and to contact PUBG Support if they need more help. They also recommend turning on Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator so your account can't be stolen and used for cheating.
