PUBG Esports has revealed a new competitive structure for 2027, and it is a big shake-up of how teams reach the global stage.
New regions
- EMEA is split into three regions: Europe, Eurasia and MENA.
- The Americas are split into North America and South America.
- India joins as a brand-new competitive region.
Four Phases a year
The season will run in four Phases. Each Phase has its own Regional League, which leads into a PUBG Global Series (PGS) event for that Phase. Qualifying for one Phase does not guarantee a spot in the next one, so every team has to earn its place again.
No more guaranteed slots
The Global Partner Team (GPT) program changes in 2027. It becomes a partnership for in-game collab items and marketing, and all teams, including current GPT teams, must qualify for PGS through their Regional League. No guaranteed slots.
PUBG Esports Points
A single PUBG Esports Points system replaces the old PGC Points and PGS Points. Points will only be awarded for results at PGS and will add up over the year towards PGC qualification. The exact points table will be announced later.
2027 calendar (subject to change)
- Phase 1: late March – early May
- Phase 2: mid May – mid June
- PUBG Nations Cup: early July
- Phase 3: early August – mid September
- Phase 4: late September – early November
- PGC 2027: late November – early December
PUBG Esports also teased a new look for PUBG Esports. Meanwhile the 2026 season is not over: the PGS 12 Survival Stage is on today, with the Grand Finals from 30 October to 1 November.
