The first semi-final of PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 produced the biggest upset of the event so far: Nemiga beat Vitality 2-0 on Friday and are into Saturday's grand final.

The Belarusian side never let the world's best team settle. robo was the star of the series with 46 kills, 101 ADR and a 1.52 rating across the two maps. Vitality played without apEX, who is on paternity leave, so mezii has been calling the shots in his place. Even that does not take much away from Nemiga, who were the clear underdogs coming into the match.
After the game robo said the mood in the team was relaxed: everyone had told each other that simply reaching the semi-final against Vitality was already a good result, so there was no pressure. According to HLTV, the run lifts Nemiga up to 10th place in Valve's regional standings.
How FURIA got here
On Thursday FURIA closed out the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over BetBoom: a 16-12 overtime on Dust2, then a cleaner 13-7 on Cache. YEKINDAR led the server with 39 kills.
Second semi-final and the final
At the time of writing, the second semi-final between MOUZ and FURIA was still being played, so we are not reporting a result yet. The winner meets Nemiga in a best-of-five grand final on Saturday 31 October at 11:00 UK time.
